The train to Southampton was largely uneventful except I have developed a cold from sitting on the cold platform at Bristol Temple Meads station.
As the ship sailed I was meeting my dinner companions for the next 10 nights, Lee from Brisbane, Anthony from Scotland, Gwen from Colorado, Suzanne from Northumberland, Lorraine from Sydney and Virginia from England.
Here we are celebrating Gwen’s birthday while the waiters sing Happy Birthday.
After dinner I usually go to the show or performance in the ship’ theatre and then retire to the Commodore Club (piano bar) at the front of the ship for a cocktail before bed.
The weather has been great averaging 23°C each day.
I haven’t used the pool, not least because I didn’t bring swimmers, but also I am waiting for Hong Kong where I hope it will be warmer. However I have been to the heath club for a massage a couple of times.
