It was a wet Sunday morning and, umbrella-less, I opted to remain indoors. But the celebration continued at the Royal Over-Seas League in Park Place, St James over afternoon tea.
A rather convenient club backing on to Green Park, behind the Ritz Hotel.
Many and varied dining and conference rooms are available.
Dr Brad had arranged a surprise birthday cake for me over afternoon tea.
