A slightly bumpy flight (cross winds the captain said) on Cathay Pacific and here I am in London. Greeted by warm weather (22 degrees) I was pleased to find that my room at the Royal Over-Seas League in St James has air conditioning, and a wonderful view over Green Park towards Buckingham Palace.
Such a wonderful place where I has a birthday afternoon tea last year, now I am staying here twice on this visit.
And I found a Vodafone store just around the corner on Piccadilly to get a sim for my spare phone, and there is a Prêt a Manger next door so I am set for a cheap breakfast too.
I don’t know who this is enjoying the sun on the balcony, but clearly this club caters for the right crowd.
