Although I arrived in Exeter two hours late, my hosts at Southernay House could not have been more accommodating.
Dinner was served on the terrace in the balmy early evening. It could have been Savannah, but it is Exeter.
Black pepper fish cakes,
followed by banana and sangria sorbet.
And my room was quite OTT.
and has a ‘built-in ensuite’. Great design and decor. The common areas are no slouches either.
I can hear the cathedral bells from my window as I am adjacent to the cathedral close.
This is a beautiful place to stay.
