While ai was in London, my friend Brad was in Melbourne, so on my return from Madrid, I trained it to Bristol after 2 further nights in London, staying near Paddington station.

The stairs were too steep for me to manoeuvre my heavy suitcase so I left it in storage for an extra day until I was travelling to Bristol. I couldn’t believe the noise and vibrations from the tube below my room. However it was cheap accommodation, very handy to the station so I just got used to it.
Bristol was great and Brad gave up his bed for me which was very kind. The first night I had a quiet one as Brad had an engagement which I felt me needed to go on his own. The following day while he was at work, I went on a GPS-guided tour of Clifton. i enjoy this walking app but this walk had been prepared by 2 old members of the local historical society and their commentary was mildly amusing, though I would have started at the highest point and walked downhill rather than the reverse.

That evening we had a pizza at Bosco’s in Clifton. We have eaten there before,
