What a creaky old musical this is, and yet a standing ovation at the end. London is full of musicals which is not a genre that I am that fond of unless its ‘Les Mis’ – which is still playing here as well as every Harry Potter, Trainspotting, The Devil wears Prada musical.
I thought this Mel Brooks production might be bearable and it was though it as long and a bit tedious.

The Mail on Sunday described it as ‘the musical riot of the century’, but it was definitely last century. Still, everyone stood at the end and clapped like mad.
