I booked this quite blindly having no idea what is where in Barcelona, but relying on references and The Rambles Las Ramblas as a popular avenue.
The location is just off Plaça de Catalunya, the centre of the city where the old city meets the new, at the top of Las Ramblas. At midnight I have renamed it, centre of all noise.
Inside, it has a very mod-chic decor -think Morgan’s in Sydney and Adelphi in Melbourne, when they were new.
And with alterations to the bar area underway – bar still operating.
Great breakfast provisions too.
Yummy home-made peach jam.
My first prise was an upgrade to a room with a new bathroom.
But the surprise was yet to come….
