We awake to a new day, our theme being the annunciation.
So we journeyed to Nazareth, home to Joseph and Mary. The Orthodox Church holds that the annunciation occurred when Mary was collecting water from the town’s well. We first saw Mary’s Well (actually used by every women at the time), the modern version…

Mary at the well is not the image that I grew up with from Sunday school. Such enlightenment on your tour.
It’s nice to see St George facing the dragon. Quite a contrast to all the Annunciation bits and pieces.
