We left Jerusalem behind as we travel to Tiberias in the region of the Galilee.
In a valley just past Bethany, we find the Greek Orthodox monastery of St George. The valley is the route between Jerusalem and Jericho. Some trees grow because water is available. Robbers hide in the bushes and shadows of the Rockies contours – the valley of the shadow of death.
At the far end is another monastery (below), the Monastery of Yemptation, at the place where Jesus went to be tempted, as it is not far from where Jesus was baptised by Jihn the Baptist.
