Stavanger

First glance of Norway

Finally my iPhone shows the correct time, but Apple Maps has totally died and I had to use Google. As you can see above, it was a beautiful day to be in Norway.

View from my balcony

I would have gone on a boat excursion but I left my run a bit late to book. I stayed aboard and enjoyed my own time.

I blended in with the wallpaper today.

a later start today to allow all those doing excursions to devastate the buffet before I got up in time for it to be refreshed.

Pulpit Rock

I’ve seen enough pulpits in my time, I didn’t need to pay to see another. I couldn’t be doing with a 6 hour trek to see the view but would have gone on the cruise to see it from below but realised I can just download someone else’s photo t show you what I missed.

Spectacular but eerie
No snow around today.

In any case we have our own Pulpit Rock, not as spectacular but comes up well in this Arthur Boyd painting (not one of mine).

A warm and calm early evening on my balcony

As the ship slipped its moorings and made its was out of Stavanger, I enjoyed my time on the balcony surveying the architecture.

Farewell Stavanger

Another delicious dinner, finishing with a Bakewell Tart and custard.

Everyone at my table has been admiring the crockery- special design for Cunard by William Edwards.
